Emma Cawood wins CBBG PGR meeting poster prize

Congratulations to Emma on winning a poster prize at the RSC Chemical Biology and Bio-organic Group Postgraduate Symposium on 10 May 2018.

The Symposium, hosted at the University of Leeds, was an opportunity for early career scientists from a broad range of chemical biology backgrounds to come together, share their work and discuss the latest research.

Emma’s poster on ‘Identifying small molecule modulators of amyloid formation’ made an impression on the judges with its technically broad and rigours computational and experimental methods.

Emma joined the group in 2016 and has developed a range of computational and experimental skills to tackle this challenging project which aims to target transient protein-protein interactions.
